Educational,Development and Health Organization (EDHO)

The Educational, Development and Health Organization (EDHO) is a
non-governmental, non-profit, independent, and non-political organization
established in 2014 by a group of committed and professional individuals. The
organization is led by a team of capable and experienced women and is dedicated
to economic empowerment, protection of women’s rights, social development, and
addressing the needs of vulnerable communities in Afghanistan.

By relying on indigenous knowledge and working closely with
local communities as well as national and international institutions, EDHO has
made effective strides toward sustainable development and improving the quality
of life for Afghan people.

 Our Mission : to deliver sustainable, participatory, and needs-based solutions that empower
communities—especially women, youth, and economically disadvantaged
families—through impactful, community-level initiatives.
We believe every girl deserves access to quality education, every woman
deserves healthcare, and every individual deserves economic security.

 Our Focus Areas: Economic empowerment of women, Agricultural development and sustainable livelihoods, Education, capacity building, and social support. Implementation of small-scale infrastructure projects (bridges, canals ,bakeries), Promotion of clean energy (solar power systems), Encouragingcommunity participation in local decision-making

bakery projects to enhance the livelihoods of underprivileged families, Strengthened
household economies in remote and mountainous regions

 Partnership with SHUHADA Organization (SHEDAA): Delivered developmental projects across Daikundi province, Engaged
local labor in agricultural infrastructure development.
